Fun in Michigan

Well, we went to Michigan last Thursday for a few days. We had a busy schedule while there. We left on Thursday night because of the big snow storm that was to hit us early in the morning on Friday. So glad we did. Friday morning it started snowing and ended up dumping around 8 inches both here in IL and in MI. Friday, Greg and I went out with my brother Doug and his wife Stacy. We had a great time! It was so good to see them again. It had been several months since we were last together. They are expecting their first baby, a girl, in a few weeks! I am FINALLY going to be an Aunt! Anyway, we went to see my cousin, Denny play in Ada, so that was fun also. Saturday brought the baby shower for Stacy. It was a lot of fun seeing so many people we had not seen in a while. Below is a picture of Madison and AC playing the piano at the shower. They had so much fun together all weekend.

At the end of the shower a few of us were sitting around looking at the dresses and flowers Shawna has picked out for her wedding this summer. This is what we saw when we looked over at Mackenzie. So glad the shower was over!

Saturday night the girls decorated Easter eggs at Nana & Papa's house. Mackenzie was so tired she couldn't stay up long enough to do any.

The Family on Easter.

After all the snow on Friday, one of Lisa's neighbors made a snow bunny. When we went over for Easter, Kennedy posed for a picture with it.

On Monday I was able to see my friend, Nicki and her two boys. It is always great to see her. We always seem to connect like no time has gone by even when it has been a couple of years since we last saw each other. Thanks Nicki for finding the time to get together. Can't wait until this summer to see you again!

I hope you all had a great Easter. We sure did! Now it is back home to more snow. It is snowing as I write this. The girls are home this week on Spring Break, but it hardly seems like Spring. I was planning to take them to the zoo one day, but I guess that will have to wait. I guess we are going to Old Navy instead so Kennedy can spend the money her Aunts gave her while we were in Michigan.
