Christmas Eve

For the past several years we have started going out to lunch on Christmas Eve. This year we had a lot of the extended family there. It's always fun to see everyone when we go to MI.

After lunch we went to see Santa. Mackenzie was so excited. I can't believe that she wasn't even a little bit afraid. She climbed right up onto his lap and told him she wanted "one bear".

After Santa we went back to Nana and Papa's house to get ready to go to Grand Ledge to Aunt D's new church for the Christmas Eve service. The ride home was a little scary and much longer than it took getting there, but we made it home despite the storm.

Once home the girls set out cookies and milk for Santa then off to bed. The slept in the room Greg and I had so we could get everything out.

Madison wanted to sleep on the floor by the door so she wouldn't miss Santa when he came. She was so tired she slept right through his stop at Nana and Papa's house.

Here Greg and I are around 1am putting Mackenzie's doll crib together.

Boys are mean!

I know I haven't updated in a while. Sorry about that. Life has kept me busy lately. Greg and Kennedy are gone to WI with a group of 4th and 5th graders from church. They will get back tomorrow afternoon. Madison and Mackenzie are both sick, so I get the "fun" ones. Mackenzie has had a fever since Thursday afternoon and a nasty cough. Madison woke up yesterday with the stomach flu. She seems to be much better today though. So, if I can get them both to nap today I will try to get some of our pictures up here from Disney/Florida.

For now though, I have a quick "funny" from Mackenzie. Friday she came walking in to the kitchen as I was emptying the dishwasher. She said, "Mommy, boys are mean and girls are nice". I am not sure how she came up with that, but we will continue to reinforce that until she is in her 30's! With the exception of her Daddy!
