Freezer

Short and sweet for today. OK, maybe just short. Freezers are a great thing. However they are only great if your kids remember to close the door. If they don't, then they are really just another BIG mess for Mom to clean up! I was greeted this morning with a freezer about half full of thawed, warm meat and chicken when I went to the basement to do a load of laundry. Guess I should have done that load yesterday.

Fun in Michigan

Well, we went to Michigan last Thursday for a few days. We had a busy schedule while there. We left on Thursday night because of the big snow storm that was to hit us early in the morning on Friday. So glad we did. Friday morning it started snowing and ended up dumping around 8 inches both here in IL and in MI. Friday, Greg and I went out with my brother Doug and his wife Stacy. We had a great time! It was so good to see them again. It had been several months since we were last together. They are expecting their first baby, a girl, in a few weeks! I am FINALLY going to be an Aunt! Anyway, we went to see my cousin, Denny play in Ada, so that was fun also. Saturday brought the baby shower for Stacy. It was a lot of fun seeing so many people we had not seen in a while. Below is a picture of Madison and AC playing the piano at the shower. They had so much fun together all weekend.

At the end of the shower a few of us were sitting around looking at the dresses and flowers Shawna has picked out for her wedding this summer. This is what we saw when we looked over at Mackenzie. So glad the shower was over!

Saturday night the girls decorated Easter eggs at Nana & Papa's house. Mackenzie was so tired she couldn't stay up long enough to do any.

Mommy and her two big girls!

The Family on Easter.

After all the snow on Friday, one of Lisa's neighbors made a snow bunny. When we went over for Easter, Kennedy posed for a picture with it.

On Monday I was able to see my friend, Nicki and her two boys. It is always great to see her. We always seem to connect like no time has gone by even when it has been a couple of years since we last saw each other. Thanks Nicki for finding the time to get together. Can't wait until this summer to see you again!

I hope you all had a great Easter. We sure did! Now it is back home to more snow. It is snowing as I write this. The girls are home this week on Spring Break, but it hardly seems like Spring. I was planning to take them to the zoo one day, but I guess that will have to wait. I guess we are going to Old Navy instead so Kennedy can spend the money her Aunts gave her while we were in Michigan.

Wedding Fun

This past weekend one of Greg's cousins got married in Indiana. The girls looked so cute in their matching dresses! (I have to do this now as I am sure Kennedy will rebel soon.) As you can see, they loved the dancing. Well, Kennedy and Madison loved the dancing. Mackenzie just loved running around and chasing the other kids!

The cute Kist girls!
Madison had fun dancing with her cousin, AmyKennedy and Madison dancing with Aunt Judy. Mackenzie couldn't stop running long enough to dance
And running...

And running...Finally had to take a break, but still on the dance floor!

Tubby Do's & Don'ts

I wanted to share with you my list of rules for the bath tub. Since I don't have a huge vocabulary yet I will show you in picture.

DO use soap!

DO NOT get the soap in your eyes!

DO rinse off well!

DO NOT touch the hot water!

DO play with your toys!

DO NOT stand up in the tub!
(Your Mom will get mad and you will get in trouble!)

DO get prunie fingers!

DO NOT try to get out of the tub without your Mom!

DO wrap up in a warm towel right away!

DO NOT flash people, especially when your Mom has the camera out!

I hope these help any of you little ones out there reading this.

Love,
Mackenzie
