Minocqua Bats

At the end of our week at camp every year we go in to Minocqua to watch the Minocqua Bats, a water ski show. You never know what you will see. Some days they are good and other days they fall all the time. This year when we all went it was a cold and rainy night and the water was choppy. As you can imagine they fell often. I did take the younger girls and a few of the older Holmquist kids back to see it the second week there and they did much better! Regardless, it is a fun time.

Here is a very cool boat with twin motor's. It was very cool. The kids were amazed to see it standing straight up. Apparently they show the day before ours when the boat did this it hit a wave and the driver was thrown from the boat and the boat fell over on it's side. Everyone was fine, but I am guessing the driver was a little nervous doing it our night.
Madison thought the boat was very cool! I just love that toothless grin!
The ladies on the discs.
One of the guys doing the ski shoes!

If you click on this picture it will enlarge and will be easier to see. If you look at the center of the picture there is one guy skiing and one that has just gone off the jump and is doing a flip in the air.

As I said, it was raining that night so Mackenzie and Madison put their blankets under their sweatshirts so they wouldn't get wet. The look was pretty funny!
