Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birtdhay Daddy!

We Love You!

Kennedy, Madison & Mackenzie

Excitement

I am not sure today could get much better for Maddie! Today, my cousin Shawna asked Madison if she would be a flower girl in her wedding this summer. Maddie is so excited! She has been telling everyone she has seen today, even people she doesn't know. The wedding isn't until the end of July, so it will be a long wait for her.

Shoveling with Daddy

Over the past few weeks we have had a few snow storms with one of them being huge! We have managed to keep the driveway cleared, however there is a big snow/ice bank at the end of the driveway left from the plows. It is mostly ice, so we have just driven over it to get in and out of the driveway. Well, it finally warmed up enough to work on it. Sunday, after church, Greg and Mackenzie went out to tackle it. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but when they came in, this is what I saw. Apparently the driveway attacked her! She didn't seem to mind though and even posed for this picture before we cleaned her up.

The Little Faker

Mackenzie has started this new thing recently. Before nap and bedtime she and I will rock in her room for about 10 minutes or so. Lately, I will look down at her and think she has fallen asleep. While I am looking though she will slowly put a hand up over her eyes. I usually laugh and then out from below the little hand comes a huge smile. I think she must have been faking sleep for a while and heard me talking all sweet to her as I cuddled her. There is certainly nothing sweeter than rocking your sleeping baby! Anyway, I think she is smart enough to realize that Mommy might just rock a little longer if she is "sleeping". However, it is very hard at just two years old to not look or smile while pretending. It is just so cute! She has started doing it almost every time we rock now. I think it has become our new "thing".

One last quick word on Mackenzie. I can't keep clothes on that girl! I dressed her several times today and every time I would turn around she would be naked! I think she must take after her Dad. I do believe I have heard stories about him not liking clothes at that age either.

I will try to figure out how to put pictures on here so you can all see how much these girls have grown.

Going to Heaven

Well, I have finally decided that this would be a great way to keep all the family and friends around the country posted on what is going on with our family. With three kids there is always something happening around here. I am not promising anything with this. I have no idea how often I will update it or if I will even be able to figure out how to put pictures on it. I am so not computer savvy, but I am going to give it a shot. That being said...
We had a very exciting day yesterday. I was driving back from Kennedy's eye therapy appointment and I had the three girls along the back seat of Greg's car. Yes, I still don't have my van back. One month and counting! Anyway, Moody was on the radio and I don't remember what they were talking about but Kennedy brought up wanting to ask a certain person if she had ever prayed the prayer so this person could go to Heaven. (We have been praying lately about being bold with our friends and family members who don't know Jesus.) Anyway, Kennedy turned to Madison and asked Madison if she had prayed and asked Jesus to be her Savior. Madison said no, so Kennedy went on to tell her about how she did it when she was little and was with her Aunt DeAnn. I told Kennedy to explain to Madison why we do that and she told her so we could g o to Heaven and not have to live in Hell in fire. That is when Madison started crying! After she stopped, Kennedy went on to tell her that if we asked, Jesus would take our sin away so we could live with Him in Heaven. (I am sure I am not getting all of what they said to each other, but that is the jist of it.) Anyway, Kennedy looked at Madison and said, "Do you want to say the prayer?". This is where I kept shushing Mackenzie so I could hear and turned the radio off! Greg and I had both gotten to this point before with Madison and she always answered us with a big NO! Anyway, Kennedy asked her and Madison said yes!!!!! She asked what she was supposed to say, so Kennedy told her to just repeat what she said, so she did! Kennedy said, "God, I love you. Maddie repeated. Will you please come into my heart and take away my sins? Maddie repeated. Because I want to live in Heaven with you! Mad repeated. Thank you, Jesus! I love you! Madison repeated. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. Mad repeated! I cried!!!!!!!!!! Then Kennedy started crying and Madison just smiled! After we got home, we called Greg, but he didn't think he would be home before bedtime, so we got back in the car and went to see him at work so Madison could tell him. She walked in his office with a big smile on her face and said, "Guess what Dad! I prayed and now I am going to Heaven!". He was so excited for her and then she told him that Kennedy helped her and he looked over at Kennedy and she was crying again. What a special thing for them to share!

Well, I really don't know of anything that can top that, so I will end this for today.
